RESEARCH & DEVLOPMENT

NBCC has recently set up a "Centre for Innovation and R&D" in its Corporate Office, New Delhi. The initiative is a well thought out plan of the management of the company on getting NAVRATNA status in June 2014. The new Centre consisting of a dedicated R&D Team of the company would exclusively work in mitigation of various problems faced during & after construction emphasizing upon innovation, sustainable development, safety and productivity.

NBCC signed a MoU with IIT Roorkee on November 7, 2014. A Joint Research & Development Centre for Sustainable Civil Infrastructure shall be opened at IIT Roorkee, Greater Noida Extension Campus (GNEC) and mutually agreed research projects shall be executed by the faculty of IIT Roorkee including conduct of training programmes, workshops and conferences at GNEC.

TAPPING OVERSEAS MARKETS

Gulf countries are seen as a prospective market for planned infrastructure development.

  • NBCC has recently signed a JV agreement with Al Naba, a company in Oman for works in Oman and Gulf countries.
  • A MoU between NBCC and CIDBH, Malaysia has been signed to promote technical co-operation for mutual benefits by sharing experience and expertise in planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance, management and financing of infrastructure projects as well as to jointly execute and develop large infrastructure projects.
  • NBCC has entered into MoU with Form Yapi Malzemeleri Insaat Sanayi Ticaret Ltd., Turkey for a joint pursuit by the parties for the establishment of a working relationship for the execution of construction/consultancy projects of mutual interest of the parties in Turkey, India and third countries. Efforts are on to secure more works abroad for increased presence particularly in the GCC region. Presently, Company's overseas business interest lies in Botswana, Malaysia and Turkey.

Categorization of NBCC as a Navratna Company has enabled NBCC to have a better image in the Global Arena offering favourable chances of its association with the leading global players.

DECLARATION OF DIVIDEND

For the tenth consecutive year NBCC paid dividend to the Government of India. The sum of Rs. 108 Crore was remitted through RTGS on 10th October, 2016 being pay out date to the shareholders towards dividend for the year 2015-16. Our Company’s financial performance in the year 2015-16 has been impressive as compared to previous year, with improvement in turnover from Rs. 4358.59 Crore to Rs. 5759.86 Crore, Profit Before Tax from Rs. 392.84 Crore to Rs. 441.33 Crore and Profit After Tax from Rs. 278.28 Crore to Rs. 311.11 Crore. In view of improved performance, 100% dividend has been paid against 55% of previous year i.e. an increase of 45% over previous year.
